The Lighting/Rigging Engineer at Illuminated Integration is an individual who is detail-driven and thrives on making complex systems work seamlessly in the real world. This isn’t a conceptual design role; it’s about validating, refining, and documenting the systems our design team creates, ensuring that every hoist, fixture, and control device performs exactly as it should once it hits the field.
Responsibilities:
- Review and validate system designs to ensure technical accuracy and real-world functionality.
- Identify potential design issues and recommend product substitutions or configuration improvements.
- Oversee and maintain all technical documentation—schematics, wiring diagrams, rack elevations, and network layouts.
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and field teams to ensure clarity from concept to completion.
- Provide engineering support during installation and commissioning to troubleshoot and fine-tune systems.
- Ensure documentation is accurate, consistent, and field-ready to support smooth installation and integration.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in lighting/rigging system engineering, documentation, or commissioning.
- Strong technical understanding of lighting and rigging systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge in lighting/rigging system design and integration.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or Vectorworks software for the creation of lighting/rigging system drawings.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
- Certifications such as ETCP or LC (Lighting Certified) would be an added advantage.
- A sharp eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
